Is MeshSeen free? Yes, MeshSeen is free during the public beta. We plan to offer a free tier alongside Pro and Team plans after launch.

Does MeshSeen modify my files? Never. MeshSeen creates a separate index and thumbnail cache. Your original files are never moved, copied, or modified.

What 3D formats are supported? STL, OBJ, 3MF, STEP, STP, FBX, PLY, AMF, and 15+ additional formats.

Performance

How many models can MeshSeen handle? We’ve tested with libraries of 100,000+ models. The virtualized grid and indexed search keep everything responsive.

How much disk space does the thumbnail cache use? Approximately 50-100 KB per model. A library of 10,000 models uses around 500 MB to 1 GB of cache space.

Privacy & Security

Does the AI tagging send data to the cloud? No. The CLIP model runs entirely on your local machine. No data leaves your computer.

Where is my index stored? The index is stored in your local app data directory. You can back it up or delete it at any time without affecting your model files.
